The minutes seemed like hours to Hotshot, who couldnt move a muscle. After what seemed like a long time, but was in fact only an hour, the wall swung open again and Princess Lloryl marched in, accompanied by 3 guards. "If you promise to be good, you are permitted to see the prince" Lloryl said in a commanding voice that Hotshot had heard many times before, and he recognised the undercurrent of sympathy there as well.

"You haven't changed a bit, have you mistress?" Asked Hotshot, with a slight smile "Very well, you have my word, just as long as i get to see Rex- i mean, the prince". The guards gave him some inquisative looks, as if to question the integrity of his words but after some sharp looks by Lloryl they released his bonds. Hotshot stood up and flexed his arms and legs. "Feels good to move again" Hotshot said and straightend out his wing, nearly hitting one of the guards. The guard presented shackles to Hotshot, as if expecting him to wear them. Hotshot simply shook his head and followed Lloryl, who had just left the room.

Rexan again lay on his bed, alone, and in pain. after a while, the nurse came in. "Right then, lets give you a check over". "Check over?" Rexan replied, taken aback. "Yes, we need to see how your doing, and how we need to treat you. "how long will this take?" enquired Rexan. "As long as it takes" replied the nurse with a chuckle, but at least 2 hours. "Im expecting visitors soon, will they be able to come in?" asked rexam worriedly. "No, im affraid not, they will have to wait outside. i have a guard posted outside, and they have strict orders not to let anyone in, for your own good. Now, eat this" she said, as she shoved a load of dried herbs in Rexans mouth, which burned his throat.
